I love hiking in particular in beautiful Marin County. It’s a great way to get fresh air, enjoy nature and get some exercise.
On a mellow Sunday, I decided to go for a nice hike. The weather was perfect. Sunny but not too warm, fall was starting to make its appearance. I started off close to the Marin Headland’s Visitor’s Center, took the Miwok Trail, then took the Old Spring Road Trail, followed by Tennessee Valley Road Trail all the way to Tennessee Beach where I took a lunch break. I went back via the Coastal Trail. Somewhere high up on the ridge, I got off the trail, sat in the between the shrubs and let the majestic ocean view sink in. It was so peaceful that I decided to meditate for a little while. Refreshed, I continued my descent back to my base.
It was a fantastic 3.5 hour long hike with great vistas. I slept very well that night.
